Fast-Tube in the rain

On the left of the photo above, Steve, foreman, DR Contracting, Surrey, BC, stands beside a column poured in the rain with Fast-Tube™. On the right, a contractor tries to protect his cardboard tubes from the rain with polyethylene.

"Forming with cardboard in the rain leads to failure", said Dan, President of DR Contracting. "With Fast-Tube™ we set up any time and never worry about the weather."

Water Damaged Cardboard Tubes

Cardboard is hydroscopic, weakened by moisture and rain, and can lead to column form failure when exposed to moisture. Fast-Tube, made of polyethylene, is uneffected by moisture, and can be left out in moisture and rain indefinitely.
