Understanding the Monopour System
The system consists of four components:
- Drill adjustable side supports used to hold the ICF block the footing height above the ground;
- Fastfoot fabric (MP corners, MP Ts and regular straights) used to contain and form the concrete footing under the ICF block;
- The ICF block itself;
- Zont bracing used to align and hold the foundation in position.

Drill Adjustable Side Supports
Pairs of patented MP side supports are screwed to the plastic web of the ICF block at approximately 4' on center. An electric drill is used to quickly adjust wall height. The MP side supports work with all horizontal ICF blocks with ties molded into the EPS.
The MP side supports consist of a sheet metal attachment flange, 1/2" diameter threaded adjuster and an injection-molded plastic foot pad. The flange is made of solid 10 gauge steel and has a metal tab that connects with the bottom of the ICF web, preventing the side support from sliding up the block. This ensures an accurate wall height adjustment.
The two part plastic pad allows the set screw to rotate in the foot during the adjustment process and allows for 12 degrees of angular change in all directions to accommodate uneven ground.
Special Sewn Fastfoot® Corners & T-Junctions
Fastfoot® is screw attached using a plywood batten to the bottom edges of the ICF components, ensuring the footing concrete is completely protected from rising damp. Pre-sewn corners and T-junctions must be used as you are forming the bottom, sides and top of the footing.
Zont™ Bracing
The bracing was designed specifically for use with the monopour system. Scaffolding loads are transferred directly to the ground through the strongback, without interfering with the footing concrete. The bracing is simple and cost effective, consisting of Zont™ brackets, Zuckle™ wall aligners, ZAT catwalk brackets and site available 2x4s. Click on the image above for more information.
