% numbers in each cell represent the safety
factor for that diameter at the height shown, assuming a single
concrete lift and fully liquid concrete (12" slump).
-
Concrete slump should not exceed 4.5" to
prevent leakage at base. For concrete exceeding a slump of 4.5",
contact Fab-Form for base collars.
-
Fast-Tube™ is not affected by moisture and
requires no protection from rain or dampness.
-
When installing Fast-Tube™ over steel reinforcing
it is advisable to tape any sharp edges
to eliminate the possibility of fabric tears.
-
Concrete can be vibrated as required without
tube damage.
-
Fast-Tube™ is manufactured
with polyethylene and will not adhere to
concrete.
-
Fast-Tube™ fabric is a vapor
retarder and is best left in place for as long
as possible to improve curing and achieve higher
strength concrete.
-
Fast-Tube™ is manufactured
in two fabric strengths:
-
Diameters 6" to 14": mullen burst
= 450 psi (ASTM #751), perm = .036 (ASTM E96)
-
Diameters 16" to 24":
mullen burst = 750 psi , perm = .0003
