» PRODUCTS > FAST-TUBE™ > INSTALLATION > ABOVE GRADE

Fast-Tube™ becomes a rigid cylinder when filled with concrete, preventing leakage at the base.

1.

Unroll and cut Fast-Tube™ to length with a utility knife.

2.

Set up and brace a vertical 2x4 in position to fasten the 'alignment tab'.

Set up reinforcing cage and install spacers on the compression rings (if required).

3.

Carefully slide Fast-Tube™ over rebar. Do not rip fabric.

Starting at the base, staple 'alignment tab' up the 2x4 face.

Screw a second 2x4 to the first, sandwiching the 'alignment tab'. Double fasten top and bottom for extra holding power.

4.

To begin pour, pull on bottom edge to create fabric tension, preventing concrete leakage. Concrete slump should not exceed 5".

For wide diameter tubes, use FT collars to locate the base and prevent concrete leakage.

5. A perfect column every pour.

Note: For short columns, attach Fast-Tube™ to the 2x4s on ground, then slide assembly over rebar and brace.
