FASTFOOT PREVENTS WATER & MUD CONTAMINATION OF CONCRETE

Pouring concrete in wet weather leads to contamination of the concrete with mud and water in the excavation unless protected with the footing membrane. Fastfoot® prevents all contamination of the concrete with water and mud, producing a stronger concrete, and ensuring there is adequate coverage of the steel reinforcing with concrete.

Concrete footings formed with lumber provide no protection against ground contamination and excess water. The weakened concrete can compromise  the strength of steel reinforcing by not providing sufficient depth of uncontaminated concrete. Furthermore excess water mixing with the concrete leads to higher levels of rising damp, causing dampness and possible mold in the building.
