"There's nothing more real than concrete," says the 59-year-old Fab-Form
Industries president, a developer of fabric forms for concrete who has
invented a just-released ''tube-on-a-roll'' product he feels could
revolutionize the concrete column industry...
Fearn began marketing the product in the Lower Mainland a month ago and
it is already being used in the latest phase of houses being built at
Panorama Ridge by Qualico Developments...
"We've just started using them and they're excellent," says Panorama
Ridge site superintendent Chad Rose. "They give a nice finish and
they're easy to set up. When we first saw it, we were skeptical. But it
creates a perfect tube every time and there's no waste, which is one of
the big factors. It's ingenious. [Cardboard] tubes are going to be like
the eight-track. This is one of those things that are going to make life
easier. It's going to fly."
